Bila-Haut Occultum
Lapidem Rouge
Bila-Haut Occultum Lapidem Rouge
This wine displays the true character of a Chapoutier wine, it lets the Terroir speak and define the wine. It is a blockbuster, full-bodied and loaded with flavor. The decomposed granite and schist soils coupled with 40-60 year old vines yield a truly expressive wine. The spices and herbs of Provence are infused in a juicy red with blackberry and plum fruits and firm tannins.
Map of Region
Languedoc, France
In the South of France, this area produces large quantities of wine. Some of the best regions like Corbieres and the Cotes du Roussillon produce much smaller yields and focus on quality rather than quantity. This is also a region where organically grown grapes are quite possible due to the favorable weather conditions.Shelf Talkers
